Singha Thai New Year

Campaign Overview (Immersive Dining Experience):

Bringing a taste of Thailand to the River Thames, we created an opulent immersive dining experience in celebration of Thai New Year and Singha beer. The dark wood of the barge with pops of yellow, white, and gold transported guests to Thailand for an immersive dining experience complete with aromatic flavours, bespoke cocktails, and Singha beer at the heart of the activation. We sourced, decorated and ran the full immersive dining experience with our team of on-brand Angels.

The Brief:

To create a fully immersive dining experience to celebrate Thai new year, we presented many ideas around the concept of water. The client wanted a memorable location where they could showcase a Thai menu and celebrate Singha beer – the traditional Thai beer

To celebrate Thai New Year in style, we were tasked with creating a fully immersive dining experience to showcase traditional Thai food and Singha beer with a strong link to the Songkran water festival.

The Activation:

We presented many options finally settling on a beautiful traditional barge which we took over and decorated, dining sessions were organised, guests were greeted by Thai staff in traditional dress, we served bespoke cocktails and Singha beer.

To create the perfect setting to celebrate the Songkran water festival, a country-wide water fight symbolising the washing away of impurities ahead of the new year, we sourced and transformed a barge located on the River Thames. We created Thai-inspired uniforms for our team of Angels, served up bespoke cocktails, and put Singha beer at the centre of our décor with their lion symbol made out of the beer bottles.

Taking full control of the immersive dining experience, we styled the barge and tables in traditional Thai style with origami and flecks of gold to tie into the brand and give a taste of the opulence of Thai design. The menu was designed and cooked by Seb Holmes, Founder and Head Chef of Farang London to blend the traditional and modern elements of Thai cooking.

The dining experience ran over two days, allowing 120 guests to immerse themselves in Thai culture, sample the unique flavours and enjoy a Singha beer, all to the backdrop of the glistening River Thames.
