Campaign Overview:

StoryTrails reimagined the way we engage with local history: Using cutting-edge augmented and virtual reality to bring the past to life across 9 UK cities, thousands stepped into immersive virtual worlds to explore untold stories of their communities. From Sheffield to Swansea, our Angels were at the heart of the experience, delivering seamless tech-led engagement and bringing warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm to over 35,000 visitors.

The Brief: 

Produce UK tasked HEL’s with building a tech-savvy core team to travel across the country and deliver the StoryTrails VR experience to the public. The team needed to be confident with new technology, personable across all age groups and backgrounds, and adaptable in high-footfall environments. We were also asked to source local staff in each location to add regional authenticity and support.

The Activation

HEL’s recruited and trained a specialist touring team supported by local Brand Ambassadors in each city. Our staff managed everything from queue coordination and guest engagement to assisting with tech set-up and production support. With up to 4,000 visitors per day, our Angels ensured a slick, immersive experience from start to finish. Across 372 staffing days, we helped StoryTrails turn futuristic tech into a deeply human and historical connection; blending the past, present, and future in one unforgettable journey
